Eye
q
Few
people are unconcerned about eye and brain
function. We all want our eyesight and mental performance
to be at their best. That's why Equazen have brought
you eye q™. Quite simply, this supplement
can help ensure that your eye and brain get important
nutrients for maintaining healthy function. This
is not an empty claim. It's basic science. Because
we at Equazen created eye q™ to reflect the
latest innovations in the rapidly moving field of
phospholipid metabolism in the eye and brain.
However,
even a well-planned diet - with plenty of fish,
nuts and leafy vegetables - cannot always guarantee
the most useful combination of important fatty acids.
Several studies have also revealed that some children,
teenagers and adults have a reduced ability to convert
the fatty acids required for the eye and brain to
perform efficiently. As a result, they may find
everyday tasks daunting, and even demonstrate unruly
or disruptive behaviour. So a supplement can sometimes
be of value to ensure optimum fatty acid levels.
What
is eye q™?
Eye
q™ is a unique blend of highgrade marine fish
oil and evening primrose oil that contains the following
members of the omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acid families:
- Eicosapentaenoic Acid, which is vital for daily
brain function, and particularly important in controlling
mood.
- Docosahaxaenoic Acid, which is a key building
block of all nerves, cells and eye membranes.
- Gamma Linolenic Acid, which is converted to Arachidonic
Acid within the body. Both are important for normal
nerve function, especially for learning and memory.
In
addition, Vitamin E is included as an antioxidant
that protects the body's cells from possible damage
caused by excess free radicals.
So
how is eye q™ different from other fish oils?
With
latest research showing that EPA is more active
than DHA for daily brain function, we realised that
we had to create a supplement that would boost the
amount of EPA. Equazen achieved this with eye q™,
which is different from other nutritional supplements
because of its high ratio of EPA to DHA. Other marine
fish oils on the market typically have a ratio of
3 parts EPA to 2 parts DHA. However, DHA does not
play the same role in brain function as EPA, and
in some circumstances, DHA may partly interfere
with action of EPA. eye q™ gets around this
by usign a high-grade oil derived from the oceans
of the southern hemisphere. Its unique feature is
a ratio of almost 4 parts EPA to 1 part DHA. Latest
research shows that this ratio may be more applicable,
allowing the EPA to work without interference, while
still providing sufficient DHA to help maintain
brain structure. Once your intake levels are established,
you only need to take two capsules of eye q™
each day to have an adequate intake of these important
fatty acids.
Why
is evening primrose oil included?
To
provide an adequate amount of GLA, we use Evening
Primrose Oil. EPA and DHA are Omega 3 oils, while
GLA and its metabolite Arachidonic Acid, are categorised
as Omega 6. Research has shown that combining the
right blend of Omega 3 and Omega 6 oils has a synergistic
effect - the combined benefits are greater than
those of the oils indivitually.
Will
I be taking a drug?
eye
q™ is not a drug. It is an exceptional nutritional
supplement. eye q™ may be taken in conjunction
with prescribed medicines, but it should not be
seen as a replacement. It is a means to help your
body return to its natural equilibrium. However,
if you have any doubts, speak to your doctor.
So
what results will I get?
Clinical
studies have shown that the ingredients in eye q™
may assist people, especially children, in addressing
nutritional deficiencies in those fatty acids which
are important in helping maintain healthy eye and
brain function.
Research
has demonstated that certain fatty acids play an
important role in the development of the eye and
brain - specifically vision, co-ordination, learning
ability, memory and concentration.
Are
there any other additives?
eye
q™ is allegen free, and contains none of the
following: egg, sugar, salt, nuts, yeast, corn,
milk, derivatives, artificial colouring, artificial
flavouring or preservatives. Jewish and Moslem consumers
need not to be worried about the presence of any
porcine elements. The gelatin that we use for all
our capsules is specially approved as being halal
and kosher.
Why
is there such a high initial intake of eye q™?
When
first taking eye q™ Equazen recommends taking
6 capsules per day. This is because research has
shown that it takes about 12 weeks to replenish
your body's stores of essential fatty acids and
that the benefits to the body are directly related
to the capsules taken. Your body should feel the
benefits over the weeks and months as it returns
to its natural nutritional balance. You can then
reduce the intake to suit your particular needs.
The recommended intake of eye q™ is just two
capsules a day but some people may find it helpful
to take 4 or more capsules at certain times in their
lives. These intakes are suitable for both adults
and children of all ages, as children have a higher
rate of metabolism. However, children under five
may want to start on a lower dose and build up gratually.
Are
there any side effects?
When
some people first take eye q™, loose stools
can very occasionally occur. Reducing the intake
and taking the capsules after meals should resolve
this.
How
much children take eye q™ ?
eye
q™ is a food supplement, not a medicine. Children
can take the same amount as adults because they
have a higher rate of metabolism. The micro and
liquid formats have been specially created to make
it a lot easier for youngsters to take our oils.
