Original traditional Biosun ear candles. A relaxing therapy whereby candles are placed in the ear. The heat of the flame causes a gentle suction, which many people find beneficial. Now with a new safety feature - the newly developed, patented safety filter features staggered fins that completely prevent the risk of dripping wax. The open channel of the filter makes the ear candle even more effective. Suitable for ears of all sizes. Biosun ear candles are made by hand using a traditional recipe and the finest regularly tested ingredients. Without compromise, only premium quality pesticide-free untreated cotton is used together with pure beeswax, honey extract, and traditional herbs such as sage, St Johns Wort, chamomile and pure essential oils.
BIOSUN Ear candles are about 22 cm long and have a burning time of 10-12 minutes. Ear candles are used by setting them alight. Beware of the fire hazard! Please store the Ear candles out of children’s reach. For safety reasons, we do not recommend you to carry out the treatment by yourself. It should always be done by an assisting person (e.g. partner). This will ensure your safety during the treatment and enables a considerably deeper relaxation. Before you start, always place a glass of water within reach in order to extinguish the Earcandle.
In the presence of a perforated eardrum or tympanostomy tube implants, we strictly do not recommend the use of Earcandles. The same applies to all kinds of inflammations of the ear or skin diseases in and around the ear. Very occasionally allergic reactions to its ingredients are reported. This takes the form of spontaneous itchiness and can be relieved with suitable eardrops.
Preparation Create a relaxed atmosphere before you start. The room should be draught-free, so the flame will burn smoothly. Keep yourself warm with a blanket. Lie down on one side in a comfortable position. Support your head slightly with a pillow so that the auditory canal is in an almost vertical position. Draught in the room, while the Earcandle is alight, can result in small, cold ash particles blowing off the Earcandle. In order to protect your hair and clothing, your partner can place a cover around the treatment area Lighting When preparations are complete, your partner sits comfortably next to you.Lie the person down on their side in a comfortable position. Make sure the head is sitting straight and not on an angle.
Fit the lit ear candle gently but tightly into the ear canal with a slight twisting motion. Do not force it into the canal.
Hold the ear candle loosely during the process. Do not squeeze tightly together and keep as vertical as possible.
Leave the ear candle in place until it has burned down to one centimetre above the red line, NO FURTHER! carefully remove from the ear and extinguish in a glass of water.
check to see if any residue remains in the ear, and remove with an ear cleaner or wooden stick being careful not to push the residue back into the ear.
